Dr. Shahla Ala’i-Rosales Visits PCDI

We were honored to host Dr. Shahla Ala’i-Rosales, PhD, BCBA-D, CPBA-AP at PCDI this July! She led a presentation and discussion on Supervision and Mentorship for PCDI trainers, and a program-wide presentation on Family Guidance in Behavior Analytic Practice.

Dr. Ala’i-Rosales is a Professor in the Department of Behavior Analysis at the University of North Texas where she has made significant contributions to the autism community. She has taught courses in Texas, Europe and the Middle East on a variety of topics, and we were thrilled to have her back in New Jersey to provide exceptional professional development opportunities to our clinical staff.

Dr. Ala’i-Rosales is a longtime friend of PCDI. This was her first visit back to PCDI since the early 2000s when she visited her dear advisors, Drs. Patricia Krantz and Lynn McClannahan, PCDI Executive Directors Emeritae. She is also a valued colleague of Dr. Greg MacDuff’s stemming from their time together at the University of Kansas where they graduated with their doctoral degrees.

During her visit, Dr. Ala’i-Rosales was able to spend time touring each classroom. She shared heartfelt sentiments regarding the lasting impact of Pat and Lynn, recognizing their remarkable success in establishing lasting excellence and innovation in the field of autism intervention and program development.
